Blake Lewis lost American Idol last night.

Blake Lewis is really taking his loss of last night’s American Idol in stride. The final show was sort of designed for him not to win, but the beat boxer is staying humble and good-natured — unusual behavior for a reality TV star.

Lewis said backstage that he didn’t mind coming in second.
“I picked Jordin Sparks at the top 24 as the American Idol winner,” he said proudly. “I was actually going to try to wear a ‘Vote for Jordin Sparks’ T-shirt last night but they wouldn’t let me do it.”
Lewis compared his sound to Michael Jackson and Jamiroquai and said his forthcoming album will be “like electro pop, very danceable.”
Sparks won a recording contract as part of her “Idol” prize, but Lewis hasn’t yet secured a deal.

I am sure Lewis will secure a deal… how couldn’t he!?

Being from Bothell I rooted for Blake… I suppose next season we should pray someone else gets in, psh otherwise Bothell is… I don’t even want to know.

So I went to the concert on Monday night. It was at the WaMu Theater. The WaMu Theater is in between the Key Arena and the Paramount. What a beautiful venue.

The show was energetic, fast paced, and actually moshing. I didn’t think that was the kind of band to put on such a show. It was insane. It was like a rave meets a Job For A Cowboy concert. It was that unique and hardcore haha.

They are still touring! Check them out while you can!

The Bravery

The Bravery. The Sun and The Moon, the new album, is going to be in stores on May 22nd, 2007.
All of the tracks are currently on their MySpace page, considering they are a featured MySpace artist.

What really got them big, was this music video right here:

That was ALL over MTV, VH1, etc. For At least 15 weeks in the top 10 countdown.
It is an amazing video, so I don’t blame them at all.
The sound is a neo-alternative type of rock.

Fujiya & Miyagi

The old new wave electro sound. Fujiya & Miyagi are from the U.K, Brighton to be exact. This is a three member band.
Steve Lewis: (Fujiya, Beats, Programming, Synths, Backing Vocals)
David Best: (Miyagi, Vocals, Guitar, Korg)
Matt Hainsby: (Ampersand, Bass Guitar, Backing Vocals, Korg)

Pitchfork says “They’re doing for 70’s krautrock & Motorik what the DFA did for early 80’s electro. Indeed, without ever being asked, They’ve gone and done the unthinkable, they’ve actually made krautrock fun.”

The sound is very melodic electro meets a flock of seagulls. Hard to explain in a way, but it deffinately makes sense when you hear them.
