August 9th, 2007Scratched disc? Free cleaning guide.

I am sure most of you have scratched a C.D, D.V.D or a Playstation Disc one time or another throughout your life right?

Disc Cleaner Guide

Well do you want to know how to fix your disc(s)?

This applies to:
C.D’s, D.V.D’s, Blu-ray discs, All Microsoft, Mac, Sony, Nintendo and pc discs… really mostly any disc there is, including rewritable discs, this technique will work on it.

Step One: Materials

The disc, any kind of toothpaste, toothbrush, warm water, & a hand towel.

Step Two:
Grab the disc, and splash a tidbit of warm water on the top of the disc. Then grab a dime size amount of toothpaste, any brand will work, and rub it all around the top of the disc, so it looks like the following picture.

Step Three:
Wash off the toothpaste, with warm water, and take your time, rinse it for a minute or two, without using your fingers until all the toothpaste is gone. Pad dry the disc with a hand towel, and let it sit for 10-15 minutes on a hand towel, until dry.

Step Four:
Repeat step two but do it on the side where the lens read the disc… so in other words, the side that is scratched. Let that disc dry as well on a towel for 20 minutes.

Step Five:
TEST IT OUT! if it doesn’t work, repeat the steps. It usually works… if it doesn’t work, then its obviously too scratched, looks like you have to buy a new one! Sorry buddy!

Here is an update for the movie Ratatouille. Its all free, and the quality isn’t too bad either! This movie is about a rat. This rat wants to become a chef. So he secretly does… pretty disgusting that a rat is cooking up brilliant food in the kitchen, but its a feel good film, by Pixar. Its great actually, for all ages. I love it.
